Guidance Counselors:

Our mission as your child's counselors is to provide the support necessary to assist your child in reaching his/her academic potential.

Through our office we offer and coordinate a wide variety of services designed to help us meet this goal. We would like to invite you to come in and get to know us and the services we offer. You may come by the school or call to make an appointment with us. You don't need to wait until you have a problem or special reason! We hope that, together, we can lay a good foundation for future success and achievement by making your child's years at Liberty Middle School a happy and rewarding learning experience.

Counselors' Goals:

  • Help children understand themselves and others
  • Help to identify children with special needs
  • Provide crisis intervention
  • Develop plans to prevent academic/behavioral problems from developing
  • Provide Career Awareness programs
  • Coordinate the efforts of other professionals working for children
  • Provide orientation for children coming to Liberty for the first time

Parents, please read the Marion County Code of Student Conduct book for more information on district attendance policies. If you have any questions about attendance, please contact Franchesca Jimenez, email -- [email protected]

Early sign outs are conducted in the front office. There you will need to show proper photo identification each time you check out a student. You MUST be listed on the student's Marion County Emergency Form in order to sign him/her out. Please refer to the Marion County Code of Student Conduct about this policy. There will be no check-outs after 3:41 p.m.
